After several years of renovation, the Freudenthal/Altvater museum of local history offers a multifaceted experience of the Memmingen war events, the origin and arrival of the displaced persons from the Sudetenland from 1945/46 and the drama of the post-war period.

After more than two and a half years, the time has finally come: the new AlpenStadtMuseum celebrates its completion with a grand opening weekend on 28 and 29 January.

OBADOBA 2022
Renowned representatives of all world religions are coming to Allgäu to discuss “Peace & Future – the importance of interreligious dialogue”.
The summit dialogue of the world religions will take place in Allgäu for the second time, bringing together representatives of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism and Bahaism.
Philosophy festival in the Allgäu Alps 2022
From 22 to 26 June 2022, the third Philosophy Festival will take place in the Allgäu Alps Oberstdorf/Kleinwalsertal under the motto “Philosophy in the valley and on the heights”.
